Paul Robertson is a computer programming consultant, part-time high-school math and science teacher, and the author of The Heir, Road to Nowhere, and According to Their Deeds. He is a former Christian bookstore owner (for 15 years) and lives with his family in Blacksburg, Virginia.

Great book!. The murder mystery is challenging enough for even dedicated fans of the genre.

The only jarring note for me was the use of apparitions which stretched my ability to suspend disbelief and seemed both out of place and unnecessary. He is intrigued by her from the first time he sees her. This was an incredibly intense read both mentally and physically and I'm literally exhausted after reading it. Both are shattered. Important definitions, exercises, and other important and essential information are isolated from the main narrative as inserts so as to highlight key ideas. Prior to reading this, I only knew the story based on films and summaries in guide books, etc.

I highly recommend this book, and I would suggest reading this one prior to reading his second autobiography, "Freedom in Exile" from the early 1990's.. The authors constantly segue between history, art, religion, and mysticism, rarely making any sense at all. In the honored tradition of such en
