She came across as very privileged, but because her family's ideology on religion did not match her own ideas of religious utopia - she felt disenfranchised, and abused even. This book will really be a delight to all the kids, who are fond of adventure stories, very reminiscent of Disney’s fairy tale movies and characters, like Finding Nemo. I almost gave it a 5 rating. For those planning on a tad more depth as using this as a focal point, the descriptions are excessively brief and I suggest that the user also read "The Complete Idiot's Guide to Hinduism."
