American artist Kurt R. Brown photographs his models in the majestic settings of our nature; attractive men and unique landscapes become one in his beautiful work. His eye for color, form and staging is astounding: Brown uses his dreamy skills to take us back to the impression that man and nature are still an entity, as they used to be moons ago. Yet his pictures are far from being kitschy; they are - in two words - earthly beauty.
Mr. So I picked up this book to see if I can further educate myself.
Daniel Alley did a great job in writing this book. Corrosion bad enough to seize a valve does not suddenly present, but rather slowly gets worse over time (unless process conditions suddenly changed, which the scenario fails to consider).
The chapter on loop tuning recommends the Ziegler-Nichols "ultimate" method which requires over-tuning of the controller to the point where the process oscillates at a steady amplitude. This first 6 chapters are pedantic and exhausting and tend to obscure the big ideas in rigid body dynamics by insisting on a Newtonian approach.
- Death by typos. In the days when humans were the lions' worst nightmare, the lions were justifiably fearful of humans, avoiding them at all costs. The surrounding location was given in excruciating detail. And with this being the first book in the Power Play series this experience isn't over yet.
