I recommend the book highly. The author(s) struggle to convey concepts in clear language. This is the most disappointing aspect that really chips away at my first pro. Shane has 7 year old twins, a boy and a girl. Having an open mind is a necessity to immerse yourself in the world presented here, an intensely emotional world nicely balanced with the physical aspects. Luck and a strategic approach to life seem at odds, but the concept of improving my statistical chances for good fortune intrigued me. Could have been "the" source for intermediate dynamics courses for engineers but ultimately has enough drawbacks that it slides into the already large and unsatisfactory pile of traditionalists textbooks in this area.
