Eating healthy, nutritious foods has always been important to the author Peggy Annear when cooking meals for my family. "Understanding and sharing the benefits of natural foods is a passion which should be passed on to this generation." The availability of highly processed and packaged foods in today's modern supermarkets are of concern. These are often loaded with high amounts of sugars, fats and preservatives. Home cooked meals are better for us, better for the health system and taste better too!
A more fitting title would have been: "Low Carb Recipes for Cooks With No Imagination." A great many of the supposed "over 160 Delicious" recipes are either variations of each other (bacon and onion omelet, cream cheese and tomato omelet, scrambled eggs with cream cheese) or such lame recipes like Ham Pinwheels (spread a slice of ham w/whipped cream cheese, roll, chill, and slice - no flavorings in the cream cheese) and take up an entire page. The writing is done well and grammatically and mechanically it flows, making reading simple and enjoyable. It will truly give you good tips to make you feel and look attractive. The book is an easy read and the author uses a light hand in his approach. This makes the book a very good tool for self-study.
